FILLEIGH PARISH COUNCIL CHAIRMAN'S NOTES

I am sure we are glad to see the back of February and hope we will have a good spring and summer.

Last year we as a Parish Council made sure everyone had a bag of salt in case of bad weather. We still have about 3 tons of salt left and we hope to ensure that every one has salt just in case for the coming year.

Our next Parish Council meeting is on Tuesday March 12th 7-30pm at the Village Hall and if any Parishioners  is concerned about anything with regard the Parish please come along and we will try and help.We have had a problem with rubbish being left in the lay-by just off the the main road just before Stags Head Inn.. I am very grateful to Roger Bowen who contacted the management of the Cable Board factory who have promised to send a team of men once a month to clean up any rubbish. We as a Parish Council will monitor this and are grateful to the management of the factory for their help.

For some months we have not received up dates on crime in our area and those that have registered are concerned about this . I have contacted the Police and they apologised for not contacted those in our area who have received no information since last July, this is due to shortage of staff and they have just taken on some one to cover our area. Hopefully the service will resume shortly. I would be grateful to hear if you have received any information and if not phone or e-mail me so I can contact the Police again

Wishing you all well
